London Scottie Club has appointed an additional Meeting Marshal with immediate effect. Nicola Murray has agreed to join us in this role.

We are keen to see more of you become Meeting Marshals. As such you have the opportunity to arrange official LSC Walkabouts and to promote safety of those on the walk. And now that extends to administering the Member Tags scanning. We now have Meeting marshals able to cover the following London areas: West London, South-West London, North London, as  well as South-East London including Kent.

Having joined the post-Lockdown Walkabout in Hyde Park in May, Nicola was appointed a member of the LSC Coordination Committee in July, The quarterly committee meets are a chance for some of our most active members to discuss Club issues and innovations. Soon we hope to bring you news of some of these developments!

Nicola will be helping to marshal the 7 November Scottie Walkabout with Zelda Malan, who handled this year’s Wimbledon Common Walkabout. Nicola’s first task will be to scan the LSC Member Tags which all members are encouraged to bring on the walk. Remember, from 2022 the Member Tags become compulsory on walks!

Edinburgh-born Nicola is an avid Scottie dog lover and spends most of her spare time travelling with Hami (seen piggy backed in this photo) to different parts of the UK. Hami loves the beach and trying to swim! Nicola is a techie boffin, working for a major global internet brand. So if anyone has any issues with the new QR code Member Tags, she is happy to help out! No pressure. Please welcome Nicola. Congratulations!
