What do you get if you cross a very wet and cold Saturday with the London Scottie Club’s WhatsApp group? A discussion about tea mugs and other vessels adorned by a picture of a Scottish Terrier.

The London Scottie Club WhatsApp Convo is Britain’s biggest daily Scottie conversation, starting at 0700 and respecting 2300 close Monday to Sunday.

Most LSC members are in the group, because as well as getting news from the club, they can also express themselves. Sometimes it is a funny poster someone spotted. At other times photos of a morning stroll in the park. And on occasion members need help with their Scotties who have fallen on a hard time.

But today fun started just before 1030am when, after talking about Scottie aprons, the WhatsApp Convo shifted to mugs. No ordinary mugs at that. Most of them have a story or seven, and some members decided it was too much hassle to photograph them individually so instead shared a cupboard full of Scottie ceramics.

From genuine Paul Smith designed mugs to wine glasses that look like they had the Christian Louboutin red treatment to the base, there was quite a float of vessels coming through all day, nine hours of it!
