Sunday belonged to the brave. And who finer than Scotland’s brave Scotties.

A total of nine Scotties turned out for the latest Walkabout in the elegant Battersea Park. The Scotties negotiated 30C sunny temperatures, the loss of some of the membership to the beach or pre-planned summer holidays, and fears among some canines that they were about to visit the famous Dogs Home a mile down the road.

But those who came were rewarded with a summer saunter in the shade, on tree lined paths, a visit to the cool pond and café for refreshments, and a leisurely trip for everyone. Photos with the backdrop of Battersea’s iconic Power Station.

Truly lovely to see all the Scotties getting on really well themselves.

Daisy the Wheaten Scottie won the Best Bandana competition. Prize? A superb poster!

A lot of park goers stopped to ask about the breed and some said it was their favourite breed.

A really super time was had on this two-hour Walkabout. A lot of Scotties will rest well tonight.

Thanks to Zelda for organising this event.

See you in September for the next!
