As reported last month following the Walkabout, it is now official: London Scottie Club has two new Meeting Marshals for 2024.
Glynis Lee MBE and John Watkins will join Fraser Grant. The openings became available following the resignation of Zelda Malan owing to work commitments. Zelda already wished Glynis and John every success in their role. Our thanks to Zelda for her work over the last two years.
Meeting Marshals fulfil a key role at LSC. They plan and organise the highly-popular Walkabouts where Members bring their Scotties for a collective walk in various parts of London on a quarterly basis. Their role is to lead the walks and to ensure that for safety reasons, members attending are recorded. Members are responsible for their own Scotties (VIPs).
Meeting Marshals also sit on the Coordination Committee of LSC, which also meets quarterly.
You can learn more about Glyn and John here.
Congratulations to Glynis and John. They are eager to get to know the Members and VIPs!
Zelda, sorry to see you having to drop your Meeting Marshal role at LSC due to work commitments, you were FANTASTIC, thank you for organising past events.
Warm welcome to the newbies Glyn & John.
