Some of us are old enough to remember a 1979 ditty by The Monks called “Nice Legs Shame About The Face” which included some convenient lyrical modifications as the song progressed.
But it reminded me of our latest London Scottie Club gathering on 9 September. Gosh, already six weeks ago. There was a good turnout for our event and it was nice to see some faces and paws that we had not seen for nearly a year as well. These included Pip & Bertie, Captain, Douglas, as well as newcomers Hector with Westie (ok, ok I know, Molly), and Pikush & Pudding.
We went for a walk along the River Thames and took in a charity London boat race which you can see glimpses of in some of the photos that accompany this event report.
Let the photos do the talking on this occasion. And get ready for our Christmas Party which means mince pies and mulled wine, and that’s just for the dogs! The event will take place on Saturday 9 December and in keeping with our routine, the details will be circulated via our WhatsApp group which is for Full Members of the London Scottie Club only. So do consider joining today.
Meanwhile, we are at Discover Dogs in London’s Excel today. Find us on the Scottish Terrier Emergency Care (STEC) stand at the venue on 21 October and do pop over to say hello!
