Meet The Very Important Pooches
- Girl
- Dog date of birth: 6 August 2012
- Owner: Catherine
- Country:
- Have you had your dog since they were puppies?: No
- Was your dog a rescue dog?: Yes
- How long have you been parent to Scotties?: 14 years
- Do you have any Scottie Dog memorabilia? If yes, what kind?:
Candles, key rings, mugs, vintage hook rack, door stops, tweed Scotties … too many but all very tasteful 😊
- Highlights of my dog’s life:
Daisy was rehomed aged three and is now almost nine. She and previous Scottie Pete were happy companions until Pete’s sad death aged 13 and a half last year at the start of lockdown 😢. Daisy loves her food and her bed more than anything else: other than seeing off squirrels and grey schnauzers (no idea why) and investigating hedgehogs, not much gets her running! Unlike Pete, whose life was one long round of antics, mishaps & general naughtiness – I assumed all Scotties were like this – Daisy is a quiet, undemanding and uncomplicated soul, and much adored

What our members say about their Scottie

Ben
Ben is the most curious dog I have ever had. Anyone coming out of house – who’s that? Any workmen coming to the house – what’s that in your tool box/bag? Anyone on a bench – hello, have you got anything to eat? Picnic-ers – you must have a sandwich for me? My friends – if I run off with your gloves, shopping bags, tissues/handkerchiefs (or anything else I can steal from your handbags) will you chase me for it: I love to be chased? People tell me ‘he’s a character’ and ‘he’s very cute’ – and he is! If I go out without him people stop me and ask where he is – sometimes I don’t know them but they know Ben!
