- Boy
- Dog date of birth: 4 May 2014
- Owner: Jann
- Country:
- Have you had your dog since they were puppies?: Yes
- Was your dog a rescue dog?: No
- How long have you been parent to Scotties?: All my life. The first Ben was a wedding present to my parents and predated my brothers and I
- Do you have any Scottie Dog memorabilia? If yes, what kind?:
Yes – lots! A cupboard full of mugs. Many pictures and paintings. Cushions, rugs, draught excluders. Duvet cover. Towels. Table cloths. Lots of cuddly toys. Scarves. Bags for crochet wool. Several jumpers/shirts. Tins. Ornaments. Bookends. Salt and pepper pots. Umbrellas. Window sticker. Wrapping paper. You name it and I’ve probably got one!
- Highlights of my dog’s life:
Ben is the most curious dog I have ever had. Anyone coming out of house – who’s that? Any workmen coming to the house – what’s that in your tool box/bag? Anyone on a bench – hello, have you got anything to eat? Picnic-ers – you must have a sandwich for me? My friends – if I run off with your gloves, shopping bags, tissues/handkerchiefs (or anything else I can steal from your handbags) will you chase me for it: I love to be chased? People tell me ‘he’s a character’ and ‘he’s very cute’ – and he is! If I go out without him people stop me and ask where he is – sometimes I don’t know them but they know Ben!

What our members say about their Scottie

Douglas
Douglas is a proud, playful, aloof and loving prince. He is incredibly handsome and loves the ladies. He likes an early night and a long lie and is perhaps not the most energetic of Scotties, preferring to sniff and wander at his own pace. However, should he see a cat or a squirrel then his whole demeanour changes and he becomes a ferocious beast. Douglas is Aries and his favourite treat is a venison bone
